Tile and grout cleaning across Puget Sound

Grout is porous, which is why it turns gray no matter how often you mop. A mop pushes dirty water into the grout line and leaves it there. After a few years the grout in a kitchen or entry is a shade darker than it was installed and there is no amount of scrubbing on your knees that fixes it.

We clean tile with an alkaline pre-spray to loosen the soil, agitate the grout lines, and then run a turbo tool that pressure-rinses at high temperature inside a contained head so the dirty water is captured instead of sprayed on your cabinets. The grout comes back to its original color, or close to it, and then we seal it so the next few years of mopping stay on the surface.

This works on ceramic, porcelain and most natural stone (with a stone-safe chemistry for marble and travertine). It is popular in kitchens, entries, mudrooms, laundry rooms and bathroom floors, and in the tiled common areas of apartment buildings.

A kitchen's grout had gone from light gray to dark gray over eight years of mopping. Alkaline pre-spray, agitation of every line and a turbo-tool rinse brought it back nearly to the original color, and the homeowner had it sealed the same day.
