We clean a lot of dryer vents in Mountlake Terrace as an add-on to carpet or duct work, and a lot as standalone calls after someone reads about dryer fires. Either way it is a quick, inexpensive job that removes the most common fire hazard in the house. Ask around Mountlake Terrace and you will hear a similar story from a neighbor.

What Mountlake Terrace homes bring us

Around Lake Ballinger, Town Center and Cedar Way we see a mix of short wall vents, long runs through crawlspaces and roof-vented laundry closets in townhomes and condos. Roof vents in particular need cleaning from both ends and clog faster because lint has to travel upward. Nothing about that is unusual for Mountlake Terrace — we see it often.

For dryer vent cleaning in Mountlake Terrace that means dealing with long, damp vent runs through crawlspaces and roof-vented townhomes that pack lint faster than a straight run would. About twenty-one thousand live here across zip code 98043, and the neighborhoods we visit most are Lake Ballinger, Town Center and Cedar Way.

A little cooler and wetter than Seattle, with river-valley flooding along the Snohomish and Skykomish in wet winters. Mukilteo and Edmonds waterfront homes bring salt air and sand inside.

Neighborhood by neighborhood

  • Lake Ballinger has a good number of condos and townhomes with shared mechanical spaces, so access and scheduling matter more than in a single-family neighborhood.
  • We see a lot of long-run and hard-to-reach setups in Town Center, which is exactly the layout that needs dryer vent cleaning more often, not less.
  • A number of Cedar Way homes went through a remodel recently, and dryer vent cleaning calls from there are often about construction dust left behind in the system.

From Mountlake Terrace the van usually continues to Lynnwood (about 38 minutes from our yard), Lake Forest Park (about 34 minutes from our yard), Shoreline (about 32 minutes from our yard), Edmonds (about 40 minutes from our yard) on the same day, which is how dryer vent cleaning in Mountlake Terrace stays at our base rate: the drive is shared across the route.

Why it matters here

We will tell you the run length, the number of elbows and the hose material and whether any of it is out of spec. Fixing a structural problem is a contractor's job; we will point you the right way. Mountlake Terrace sends us this exact kind of job on a normal week.

Summer: if the vent is clogged, the laundry room is unbearable. It is also when we find the most rodent screens packed with lint. It is a familiar story on our Mountlake Terrace route.

Jobs like yours

A roof-vented townhome dryer took two full cycles to dry a load. The run went up through the second floor to a roof cap that had never been opened. Cleaned from both ends, airflow tripled and the dryer went back to one cycle. Mountlake Terrace sends us this exact kind of job on a normal week.

Locally owned, not a franchise

We are deeply rooted in this part of Washington. Our family runs Quite Clean Laundry on Tukwila International Boulevard, our cleaning yard is on S Cloverdale St in Seattle, and the Snohomish County customers who first called us as PNW Carpet & Duct Cleaning in 2019 are still calling the same number. That matters for dryer vent cleaning in Mountlake Terrace in a practical way: the tech has seen your kind of house before, knows what builds up in the systems here, and has a boss he can call from your driveway if something unusual comes up.

How the visit goes

The tech starts with a airflow check and ends with a reconnect and verify; what happens in between is on the dryer vent cleaning page. What does not change from house to house in Mountlake Terrace: you hear the price first, and it does not move. Bundled with duct cleaning it is a small add-on; with carpet it is a quick extra while the tech is there. We could tell the same story about a dozen Mountlake Terrace addresses.

What we will tell you honestly

Cleaning the lint trap is not the same as cleaning the vent. The trap catches most lint; the vent gets the rest, and it adds up. Ask any tech on our Mountlake Terrace route and you will hear the same answer.

Pricing in Mountlake Terrace

Mountlake Terrace is about 36 minutes from our yard in South Park, in Snohomish County, which is subject to a trip fee on top of the service price. We quote the fee up front on the phone along with the job itself, so it is never a surprise at the door. The number the tech gives you on the walk-through, fee included, is the number on the receipt.

5 stars

They came to my home to clean a sofa, carpeting and the dryer vent, and I was very happy with the service! Kal and Abraham are both very professional and knowledgeable, and I especially appreciated how much care and attention was taken with the dryer vent. My dryer had a tricky set-up, and Kal replaced the hose with one that is more flexible and should cause less trouble in the future.

Kal and Mo are awesome! We scheduled an appointment to have the carpets, dryer vent and air ducts cleaned at our new home and when our closing date was pushed back they were so friendly and understanding and easy to reschedule. They called and texted to remind us of our appointment and when they were all done. Everything looks and smells amazing!

Dryer Vent Cleaning in Mountlake Terrace: questions

My dryer vents through the roof. Can you do that?
Yes. Roof vents are common in Puget Sound townhomes and they clog faster because lint has to travel upward. We clean them from both ends.
Does cleaning the lint trap count?
The lint trap catches maybe three-quarters of the lint. The rest goes into the vent. The trap should be cleaned every load; the vent still needs cleaning yearly.
Do you serve all of Mountlake Terrace?
Yes — Lake Ballinger, Town Center and Cedar Way and everything in between. Mountlake Terrace is a normal route stop for us.
How soon can you get to Mountlake Terrace?
Usually within a few days, and same-day when a van is already on that side of the county. Call and we will tell you honestly.
Is there a trip fee for Mountlake Terrace?
Yes — Snohomish County is subject to a trip fee on top of the service price. We quote it up front on the phone along with the job itself, so the total is agreed before we book the day, not a surprise when the tech arrives.
