We clean a lot of dryer vents in Puyallup as an add-on to carpet or duct work, and a lot as standalone calls after someone reads about dryer fires. Either way it is a quick, inexpensive job that removes the most common fire hazard in the house. Puyallup customers describe it to us the same way, almost word for word.

What Puyallup homes bring us

A customer with a tricky laundry closet had her kinked hose replaced by our tech with a flexible one that fit the space, which is the kind of thing that keeps a vent from clogging again. Ask around Puyallup and you will hear a similar story from a neighbor.

For dryer vent cleaning in Puyallup that means dealing with long, damp vent runs through crawlspaces and roof-vented townhomes that pack lint faster than a straight run would. About forty-five thousand live here across zip codes 98371, 98372, 98373, 98374, 98375, and the neighborhoods we visit most are South Hill, Downtown Puyallup, North Hill, Sunrise and Shaw Road.

South Hill and Bonney Lake are the largest concentrations of 1980s–2010s family homes in the region — three or four carpeted bedrooms, a bonus room, a dog and light carpet that shows every trail from the mudroom. Downtown Puyallup and Sumner have older farmhouse-style homes and a warehouse district with offices that need commercial carpet care. Lake Tapps homes see boats, lake water and sand.

Neighborhood by neighborhood

  • Homes in South Hill tend to be larger, so dryer vent cleaning there is usually a longer job than in a typical single-system house.
  • Older Downtown Puyallup homes sometimes have additions or retrofits that changed how the system runs, and that is exactly the kind of detail the tech checks before quoting dryer vent cleaning.
  • A number of North Hill homes went through a remodel recently, and dryer vent cleaning calls from there are often about construction dust left behind in the system.
  • Sunrise customers tend to book dryer vent cleaning right after moving in, since nobody tells a new owner when the system was last serviced.
  • Shaw Road is far enough inland that wildfire smoke settles into the system every August, which is when we get the most dryer vent cleaning calls from that neighborhood.

From Puyallup the van usually continues to Sumner (about 38 minutes from our yard), Milton (about 32 minutes from our yard), Edgewood (about 36 minutes from our yard), Fife (about 33 minutes from our yard) on the same day, which is how dryer vent cleaning in Puyallup stays at our base rate: the drive is shared across the route.

Why it matters here

Clean it yearly if you do laundry daily, every two years for a light-use home, and immediately for any of the warning signs. Bundled with duct cleaning it is a small add-on; on its own it is a flat quote for a standard Puyallup run. We could tell the same story about a dozen Puyallup addresses.

Spring is a good time to clean the vent after a winter of heavy use, and to check the exterior cap for bird nests, which start in April. Puyallup sends us this exact kind of job on a normal week.

Jobs like yours

A roof-vented townhome dryer took two full cycles to dry a load. The run went up through the second floor to a roof cap that had never been opened. Cleaned from both ends, airflow tripled and the dryer went back to one cycle. It is a familiar story on our Puyallup route.

Locally owned, not a franchise

We are deeply rooted in this part of Washington. Our family runs Quite Clean Laundry on Tukwila International Boulevard, our cleaning yard is on S Cloverdale St in Seattle, and the Pierce County customers who first called us as PNW Carpet & Duct Cleaning in 2019 are still calling the same number. That matters for dryer vent cleaning in Puyallup in a practical way: the tech has seen your kind of house before, knows what builds up in the systems here, and has a boss he can call from your driveway if something unusual comes up.

How the visit goes

The tech starts with a airflow check and ends with a reconnect and verify; what happens in between is on the dryer vent cleaning page. What does not change from house to house in Puyallup: you hear the price first, and it does not move. Bundled with duct cleaning it is a small add-on; with carpet it is a quick extra while the tech is there. It is the kind of job that brings us back to Puyallup on a regular basis.

What we will tell you honestly

Cleaning the lint trap is not the same as cleaning the vent. The trap catches most lint; the vent gets the rest, and it adds up. We tell every Puyallup customer the same thing before we start.

Pricing in Puyallup

Puyallup is about 40 minutes from our yard in South Park. It sits on a regular route, so there is no distance charge; we group it with the stops around it. The number the tech gives you on the walk-through is the number on the receipt, and the walk-through is free.

5 stars

They came to my home to clean a sofa, carpeting and the dryer vent, and I was very happy with the service! Kal and Abraham are both very professional and knowledgeable, and I especially appreciated how much care and attention was taken with the dryer vent. My dryer had a tricky set-up, and Kal replaced the hose with one that is more flexible and should cause less trouble in the future.

Kal and Mo are awesome! We scheduled an appointment to have the carpets, dryer vent and air ducts cleaned at our new home and when our closing date was pushed back they were so friendly and understanding and easy to reschedule. They called and texted to remind us of our appointment and when they were all done. Everything looks and smells amazing!

Dryer Vent Cleaning in Puyallup: questions

My dryer vents through the roof. Can you do that?
Yes. Roof vents are common in Puget Sound townhomes and they clog faster because lint has to travel upward. We clean them from both ends.
Does cleaning the lint trap count?
The lint trap catches maybe three-quarters of the lint. The rest goes into the vent. The trap should be cleaned every load; the vent still needs cleaning yearly.
Do you serve all of Puyallup?
Yes — South Hill, Downtown Puyallup, North Hill, Sunrise and Shaw Road and everything in between. Puyallup is a normal route stop for us.
How soon can you get to Puyallup?
Usually within a few days, and same-day when a van is already on that side of the county. Call and we will tell you honestly.
