We clean a lot of dryer vents in Olympia as an add-on to carpet or duct work, and a lot as standalone calls after someone reads about dryer fires. Either way it is a quick, inexpensive job that removes the most common fire hazard in the house. That is a typical week for us in and around Olympia.

What Olympia homes bring us

Around South Capitol, Eastside and Westside we see a mix of short wall vents, long runs through crawlspaces and roof-vented laundry closets in townhomes and condos. Roof vents in particular need cleaning from both ends and clog faster because lint has to travel upward. We could tell the same story about a dozen Olympia addresses.

For dryer vent cleaning in Olympia that means dealing with long, damp vent runs through crawlspaces and roof-vented townhomes that pack lint faster than a straight run would. About fifty-five thousand live here across zip codes 98501, 98502, 98506, 98512.

South Capitol and the Olympia Eastside have older homes with masonry chimneys and original floors under carpet. Lacey's Panorama and Jubilee communities are well-kept single-level homes where owners book scheduled, gentle service. Hawks Prairie and Yelm's Tahoma Terra are 2000s-era builder homes. Downtown Olympia has state offices, law firms and older apartments.

Neighborhood by neighborhood

  • South Capitol customers tend to book dryer vent cleaning right after moving in, since nobody tells a new owner when the system was last serviced.
  • A number of Eastside homes went through a remodel recently, and dryer vent cleaning calls from there are often about construction dust left behind in the system.
  • Parking and access in Westside is easy for our vans, so it is one of the Olympia neighborhoods where same-day dryer vent cleaning is most realistic.
  • Downtown sees enough seasonal humidity that the system there benefits from dryer vent cleaning on a tighter schedule than a drier neighborhood needs.
  • Boston Harbor has a mix of older homes with original ductwork and newer builds with sealed systems, so the tech checks with a camera before quoting dryer vent cleaning rather than guessing from the phone.

From Olympia the van usually continues to Tumwater (about 68 minutes from our yard), Lacey (about 62 minutes from our yard), East Olympia (about 68 minutes from our yard), Littlerock (about 78 minutes from our yard) on the same day, which is how dryer vent cleaning in Olympia stays at our base rate: the drive is shared across the route.

Why it matters here

We will tell you the run length, the number of elbows and the hose material and whether any of it is out of spec. Fixing a structural problem is a contractor's job; we will point you the right way. Ask around Olympia and you will hear a similar story from a neighbor.

Summer: if the vent is clogged, the laundry room is unbearable. It is also when we find the most rodent screens packed with lint. It is a familiar story on our Olympia route.

Jobs like yours

A homeowner had the dryer vent and the air ducts cleaned together and said afterward that both were safe and cleaned, with the process explained. Dryer vent and ducts on one visit is the most efficient way to do both. Olympia sends us this exact kind of job on a normal week.

Locally owned, not a franchise

Quite Clean Home Services is one family's business, not a franchise territory. The owner lives here, answers the after-hours phone himself, and the techs who handle dryer vent cleaning in Olympia are the same people customers name in reviews — Marcel, Shane, Nick, Arquimedes. There is no call center, no franchise fee built into the price, and no manager in another state deciding what gets upsold at the door. When we say the quote before we start is the number on the receipt, that is because the person who gave you the quote is the person who owns the company.

How the visit goes

Airflow check, then disconnect and clean the transition, then rotary brush the full run, then exterior cap, then reconnect and verify. The tech quotes the whole job before any equipment comes off the van. Bundled with duct cleaning it is a small add-on; with carpet it is a quick extra while the tech is there. Olympia customers describe it to us the same way, almost word for word.

What we will tell you honestly

If your dryer has a mechanical problem, cleaning the vent will not fix it. We can tell the difference, and we say so. That is the honest answer we give in Olympia every time it comes up.

Pricing in Olympia

We price dryer vent cleaning in Olympia the way we price it everywhere: on site, before we start, after looking at every room or piece. Thurston County adds a trip fee to cover the 65-minute drive from South Park, which we tell you when you book, not after we arrive. Repeat customers, active-duty military and property managers with multiple units get their own rates; ask.

Kal and Mo are awesome! We scheduled an appointment to have the carpets, dryer vent and air ducts cleaned at our new home and when our closing date was pushed back they were so friendly and understanding and easy to reschedule. They called and texted to remind us of our appointment and when they were all done. Everything looks and smells amazing!

They came to my home to clean a sofa, carpeting and the dryer vent, and I was very happy with the service! Kal and Abraham are both very professional and knowledgeable, and I especially appreciated how much care and attention was taken with the dryer vent. My dryer had a tricky set-up, and Kal replaced the hose with one that is more flexible and should cause less trouble in the future.

Dryer Vent Cleaning in Olympia: questions

My dryer vents through the roof. Can you do that?
Yes. Roof vents are common in Puget Sound townhomes and they clog faster because lint has to travel upward. We clean them from both ends.
Does cleaning the lint trap count?
The lint trap catches maybe three-quarters of the lint. The rest goes into the vent. The trap should be cleaned every load; the vent still needs cleaning yearly.
Do you serve all of Olympia?
Yes — South Capitol, Eastside, Westside, Downtown and Boston Harbor and everything in between. Olympia is one of our farther stops, which we batch with nearby towns so the drive does not land on one customer, so we group nearby jobs on the same day; ask when you call.
How soon can you get to Olympia?
Olympia is a scheduled-day stop for us. Give us a few days' notice and we will batch it with nearby jobs, which keeps the price the same as closer cities.
Is there a trip fee for Olympia?
Yes — Thurston County is subject to a trip fee on top of the service price. We quote it up front on the phone along with the job itself, so the total is agreed before we book the day, not a surprise when the tech arrives.
