Area rug cleaning in Bainbridge Island splits into two jobs. A synthetic rug on a hard floor can be cleaned in your home. A wool, Persian, hand-knotted or antique rug needs to come with us to be dusted, washed flat, rinsed and dried where its dyes cannot migrate into your floor. We do both, and we tell you on the phone which one your rug needs. It is the kind of job that brings us back to Bainbridge Island on a regular basis.

What Bainbridge Island homes bring us

We batch rug pickups in Winslow, Rolling Bay and Lynwood Center with other jobs in the area, and if you are between homes we will hold the rug until you are ready for it. It is a familiar story on our Bainbridge Island route.

For area & oriental rug cleaning in Bainbridge Island that means dealing with wool and hand-knotted rugs that have been sitting on damp slab floors or taking a beating from winter grit. About twenty-five thousand live here across zip code 98110.

Kitsap County — Bremerton, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island and the communities along the water — is Navy country and ferry country. Naval Base Kitsap and the shipyard drive a rental market that turns over constantly; Bainbridge and Poulsbo are quieter, wealthier and wooded. We take the Seattle ferry to Bainbridge and batch rug pickups and upholstery jobs to fill the day.

Neighborhood by neighborhood

  • Winslow is on the same route day as the rest of Bainbridge Island, and neighbors who book the same week are grouped together.
  • Rentals in Rolling Bay turn over regularly, and a good share of our Rolling Bay work is turnover cleaning with a receipt for the landlord.
  • Lynwood Center homes are among the ones in Bainbridge Island where the tech is most likely to recommend the whole floor rather than a single room, because the traffic lanes connect.
  • Parking and access in Port Madison is easy for our vans, so it is one of the Bainbridge Island neighborhoods where same-day is most realistic.
  • Eagle Harbor is where we see the widest range of housing in Bainbridge Island, so the tech looks at every room before quoting rather than pricing from the phone.

From Bainbridge Island the van usually continues to Rolling Bay (about 48 minutes from our yard), Manchester (about 55 minutes from our yard), Tracyton (about 65 minutes from our yard), Bremerton (about 60 minutes from our yard) on the same day, which is how area & oriental rug cleaning in Bainbridge Island stays at our base rate: the drive is shared across the route.

Why it matters here

Off-site washing is the only way to reach pet urine in a rug's foundation and the only way to remove mildew from the back. If either applies to your Bainbridge Island rug, in-home cleaning will not fix it and we will say so. We hear a version of this from Bainbridge Island every few weeks.

Winter is when rugs pick up the most grit and the most moisture. A rug that goes out for washing in January comes back in time for the house to dry out in spring. We could tell the same story about a dozen Bainbridge Island addresses.

Jobs like yours

A shag area rug with pet stains and odor was the worst piece in a house we were cleaning. The tech worked on it until it was right. Shag needs the fibers separated and flushed individually, which is slow, and it is why shag is priced by the job. Ask around Bainbridge Island and you will hear a similar story from a neighbor.

Locally owned, not a franchise

Quite Clean Home Services is one family's business, not a franchise territory. The owner lives here, answers the after-hours phone himself, and the techs who handle area & oriental rug cleaning in Bainbridge Island are the same people customers name in reviews — Marcel, Shane, Nick, Arquimedes. There is no call center, no franchise fee built into the price, and no manager in another state deciding what gets upsold at the door. When we say the quote before we start is the number on the receipt, that is because the person who gave you the quote is the person who owns the company.

How the visit goes

Every area & oriental rug cleaning visit in Bainbridge Island follows the same order: fiber and dye check first, controlled dry, groom, return last, and 3 steps between that the tech will explain as he goes. Rug pickup pairs naturally with a carpet cleaning at the same address, and with upholstery in the same room. Nothing about that is unusual for Bainbridge Island — we see it often.

What we will tell you honestly

We do not clean wool or hand-knotted rugs in your home, even when it would be more convenient. The risk of dye migrating into your floor is real. We would rather say that up front in Bainbridge Island than surprise you at the door.

Pricing in Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island is about 45 minutes from our yard in South Park, in Kitsap County, which is subject to a trip fee on top of the service price. We quote the fee up front on the phone along with the job itself, so it is never a surprise at the door. The number the tech gives you on the walk-through, fee included, is the number on the receipt.

5 stars

My bedroom carpet and 2 rugs were cleaned and left in pristine condition after Sam and Khalid worked hard to shampoo out old stains. They answered my phone call on Saturday night and were at my home on Sunday for an urgent clean. They were confident and communicated with me.

Kal and his team definitely go the extra mile to make sure you get a superior job! My carpets look and smell amazing. Our shag area rug had some pet stains and odor that was very difficult to get out and they worked on it until it was perfect, it looks and smells brand new!!

They did an exceptional job cleaning our carpets, and an antique Kashmir area rug that was taken and returned to us in beautiful shape. Kal, Mo, and Sean were personable, professional, and kept us informed before, during and after their service. Pricing was fair and well worth it.

Area & Oriental Rug Cleaning in Bainbridge Island: questions

My rug smells like mildew underneath. Is it ruined?
Usually not. Mildew on the back of a rug that sat on a damp floor washes out. Dry rot, where the cotton foundation has become brittle and cracks when you fold it, cannot be reversed.
Do you replace rug pads?
We do not sell pads, but we will tell you if yours has broken down into powder, which is common with cheap foam pads on radiant-heat floors.
Do you serve all of Bainbridge Island?
Yes — Winslow, Rolling Bay, Lynwood Center, Port Madison and Eagle Harbor and everything in between. Bainbridge Island is a normal route stop for us.
How soon can you get to Bainbridge Island?
Usually within a few days, and same-day when a van is already on that side of the county. Call and we will tell you honestly.
Is there a trip fee for Bainbridge Island?
Yes — Kitsap County is subject to a trip fee on top of the service price. We quote it up front on the phone along with the job itself, so the total is agreed before we book the day, not a surprise when the tech arrives.
